About Ree

Ree earned her B.S. degree at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. The College of Human Ecology is one of the highest ranked in the USA. She graduated with highest honors. Ree has not only many University honors, but her biography appears in many national and World honorary biographical publications. Interestingly, a term paper was titled, "Perfumery". She married in her senior year. Her husband and she have four sons and seven grandchildren. Her husband worked in supervision for major cosmetic companies twelve years. Ree sold their products.

She considers her first life-or-death challenge was getting her twins to survive incomplete development at birth and multiple allergies to food and supplements. One infant laid 24 hours without moving, even after her following every doctor direction. She created her own formula for this infant starting with water and salt. Slowly, she added a bit of black-skinned overly-ripe mashed banana rich in simple sugars, vitamins and minerals. He started moving! This was a major triumph!

She worked in a broad range of fields. Activities are myriad throughout her life in church work, community, and coordinating blood drives. Hobbies include entertaining, home decoration and painting stone tiles. Handmade Natural Cosmetics started in this manner.

Ree began making her soothing lotions and balms after lifelong suffering from extremely dry flaky skin and, since 1980, eczema. Doctor prescriptions were unsuccessful. Success with over-the-counter lotions and creams was limited.

Many products on the market contain alcohol which is drying; Ree's products have no alcohol. Some products contain mineral oil; Ree's has none. Many commercial products tend to use chemical compounds. (Check the label.) Even products that claim use of natural ingredients often start with a standard commercial chemical base. These components may cause irritation and less than desirable side effects.

Ree's products are composed of highest cosmetic quality individual natural ingredients. Cosmetic quality ingredients are produced to a higher standard and contain less bacteria than even food quality ingredients.

Through her own personal trials and tribulations, Ree has learned that natural ingredients make a big difference. After working in the fields of education, business and government, her creativity blossomed into developing a line of hand made natural cosmetics she named I Care! Cosmetics.

Ree only makes products she or her family need. Before putting any products on the market, Ree asked friends to try them. Each was enthusiastic. Following testing, local stores carried her products while she and her husband also sold products at Christmas bazaars, craft fairs and local markets limited to hand made goods.
